PA News release:

Northern C's Slated to Return to KIXE Fundraiser

On March 13th members of the Northern C's Board of Directors will once again be answering phones and taking pledges during the KIXE “on air” annual fundraiser. Northern C's President Dick Roseberry said that “This annual event has become very important to to our organization. It demonstrates the connection that our Cal Alumni Club has with the north state in general and with public television in particular. This will be our fifth year participating in this very worthwhile endeavor.”

The “on air” programming promises to be entertaining, featuring “Love Letters In The Sand” and “Celtic Thunder” during the 7 pm to 10 pm time slot. With such promising programming, Mr. Roseberry feels confident in having a successful evening. “Last year we set a modest goal for ourselves and were successful. This year we are going to invite all Cal Alums, Cal attendees and friends of the University to call in and make this year the most successful ever.”

Those interested in supporting public television in the Shasta, Siskiyou and Trinity County area should plan on calling 243-5493 and making their annual pledge during Northern C's night at KIXE on March 13th.

"We are family.
You cannot make a university
out of minds and brains.
In a university, as elsewhere in the world,
heart is more than head,
love is more than reason.
Hold fast to that love for the University.
Stand strong, shoulder to shoulder,
when you do its work.
Cheer for her; it will do your lungs good.
Love her; it will do your heart and life good."
BENJAMIN IDE WHEELER, 1899
